This year has been one that nobody could have predicted for businesses. The pandemic has tested the SaaS industry, yet it’s proved to be one of the most resilient, and is in many cases, thriving.
In fact, in many ways, 2020 has been the year that software changed the world.
To support our team and sellers through this challenging year, and drive our future growth, we’ve welcomed new senior leaders to our Customer Success, Marketing, People, and Engineering teams.
And with that, we’re delighted to introduce the new members of our Executive Committee.
David Rich – Chief Marketing Officer
David joined Paddle in January 2020, from Litmus, where he was CMO leading its global Marketing and Customer Support functions.
David has spent his career helping companies like Adobe, Yahoo!, Kodak and Pepsi, as well as technology start-ups, navigate through complex business challenges during periods of high growth and transition. He brings with him a creative mindset and extensive toolkit for developing and executing business and marketing strategies.
At Paddle, David will be focused on scaling the marketing function, developing a marketing strategy to drive Paddle business goals, partnering with Sales to grow a pipeline of customers, and establishing Paddle’s presence among SaaS companies, globally.
David Barker – Chief People Officer
David Barker joined Paddle in April as Chief People Officer.
Moving back to the UK after spending two and a half years living and working in Los Angeles, David’s start to life at Paddle was an eventful one. Joining us in the midst of London lockdown, David’s first project was to lead Paddle through the switch from office-based to remote working. His experience in creating and delivering full-cycle People and Talent strategies at Riot Games, Saatchi & Saatchi, Microsoft, and Coca-Cola has proved invaluable in setting the team up for success.
Looking forward, David and the People team are focused on developing the Paddle of the future, supporting Paddlers as the team continues to grow, and establishing new ways of working.
Julika Loecklin – VP Customer Success.
Julika joined Paddle in 2018 to head up the Customer Success team and in summer 2020 was promoted to VP Customer Success.
Since joining Paddle, Julika has been instrumental in the Customer Success team’s growth, and under her leadership, the team has taken ownership of new functions and processes. The Customer team now not only manages our Seller Support and Account Management but also Paddle’s specialist Buyer/ Billing Support service and actively works with new customers, giving them a tailored onboarding experience and setting them up for future growth.
André Vella – Chief Technology Officer
André recently joined Paddle, after spending the last five years living and working in Berlin.
André brings with him 9 years of experience leading teams in eCommerce and Digital companies. In André’s most recent position at CTPO at HeyCar, he led a team of 80+ people across Engineering, Data, Product, and Design.
At Paddle, André will drive the growth of our engineering team and lead the function as we continue to build out the Paddle product and develop our Revenue Delivery Platform to power SaaS companies around the world.
